Nokel’s Ark Recovery Services was founded with a simple purpose: to provide a safe, structured, and supportive living environment for individuals who are committed to maintaining their recovery and rebuilding their lives.
 
Located in Houston, Texas, Nokel’s Ark provides non-treatment recovery housing designed to support residents as they work toward greater stability, independence, and personal accountability. We believe recovery is about more than having a place to stay—it is about having an environment that encourages consistency, responsibility, healthy routines, and continued progress.
 
Meet the Founder
 
Noreen-Kelsey Franklin is the founder of Nokel’s Ark Recovery Services. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, Noreen-Kelsey has built her professional career around working with individuals and families during challenging and transitional periods of their lives.
 
Her professional experience includes work within child welfare, education, criminal justice, behavioral health, and social services. These experiences strengthened her understanding of how stability, accountability, compassion, and access to the right support system can make a meaningful difference in a person’s ability to move forward.
 
Noreen-Kelsey created Nokel’s Ark with the vision of providing more than housing. Her goal is to create a structured home environment where residents are treated with dignity, expected to take responsibility for their recovery, and encouraged to work toward independence.

Our mission is to provide safe, structured, and supportive recovery housing that promotes accountability, stability, personal growth, and independent living.
 
Nokel’s Ark Recovery Services is a non-treatment recovery residence. We do not provide medical, clinical, detoxification, or substance use disorder treatment services. Instead, we provide a substance-free living environment where residents can continue working toward their individual recovery goals while remaining connected to appropriate community-based recovery and professional resources.
